Class 1 hitch, Nissan Leaf

Whatever the definition of adventure — whether it’s climbing aboard a mountain bike, hunting from a tree stand or camping with the family in the middle of nowhere — CURT Class 1 hitches offer a lightweight trailer hitch receiver to help you get out there. Each is designed to fit a specific vehicle, offering easier installation, a better fit and optimal towing capacity. Custom Class 1 trailer hitches are available for a variety of small vehicle types, including compact cars, crossovers, minivans and small SUVs. This Class 1 hitch is designed as a custom-fit hitch for select model years of the Nissan Leaf (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). Tested in accordance with SAE J684, it offers a 1,500 lb. GTW capacity and a 150 lb. TW capacity. It features a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or other hitch accessory. This Class 1 hitch also includes all the necessary mounting hardware. With its lightweight design and smaller receiver tube, a Class 1 hitch is especially useful for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier. They can also generally be used to tow small trailers, such as a utility trailer, kayak trailer or teardrop camper (never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component, including the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc.). Although CURT Class 1 trailer hitches are intended only for light-duty towing, we apply the same quality principles as we do to the rest of our rear hitches. Each Class 1 hitch is made with hand-crafted engineering, high-strength steel and precision welding. We use a co-cured A-coat finish inside and out, along with a durable black powder coat, to provide lasting defense against rust, chips and UV rays.
