New ProFilter air filter, perfectly oiled, providing maximum airflow and increased engine power. Ready to use, the air filters include a dual layer of reticulated foam. Reticulation is a process that expands the cells of the foam, allowing for an increase in airflow and engine power. Each of the two foam layers features different pore sizes: the deeper layer consists of denser foam capable of trapping fine particles of sand and suspended dust, while the outer layer consists of a more open-pore matrix that traps larger dirt particles. The greater porosity of the outer foam also helps the filter resist clogging. The air filter seals are welded with industrial adhesive. Furthermore, each filter features a rubber grommet to ensure it remains firmly in place in its support, preventing tearing and preserving the structural integrity of the filter.
