New ProFilter air filter, perfectly oiled, providing maximum airflow and increased engine power. Ready to use, the air filters include a dual layer of reticulated foam. Reticulation is a process that expands the cells of the foam, allowing for increased airflow and engine power. Each of the two foam layers has different pore sizes: the inner layer consists of denser foam capable of capturing fine sand and airborne dust particles, while the outer layer consists of a more open-pore matrix that traps larger dirt particles. The greater porosity of the outer foam also helps the filter resist clogging. The air filter seams are welded with industrial-strength adhesive. In addition, each filter features a rubber grommet to ensure it remains firmly in place in its support, preventing tearing and preserving the structural integrity of the filter.
