Class 1 hitch, Dodge Caliber

Whatever your definition of adventure — whether it’s climbing aboard a mountain bike, hunting from a treestand or camping with the family far from anywhere — CURT Class 1 hitches offer a lightweight towing receiver to help you get moving. Each one is designed to fit a specific vehicle, offering easier installation, a better fit and optimal towing capacity. Custom Class 1 trailer hitches are available for a variety of small vehicle types, including compact cars, crossovers, minivans and small SUVs. This particular Class 1 hitch is designed as a custom-fit hitch for certain model years of the Dodge Caliber (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). Tested in accordance with SAE J684, it offers a capacity of 2,000 lb. GTW and 200 lb. TW. It features a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or other hitch-mounted accessory. This Class 1 hitch also includes all the necessary mounting hardware. With its lightweight design and smaller receiver tube size, a Class 1 hitch is especially useful for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier. They can also generally be used to tow small trailers such as utility trailers, kayak trailers or teardrop trailers (never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component, including the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc.). Although CURT Class 1 trailer hitches are intended only for light-duty towing, we apply the same quality principles as we do to the rest of our rear hitches. Each Class 1 hitch is made with expert engineering, high-strength steel and precision welding. We use an A-coat co-cured finish inside and out, along with a durable black powder coat, to provide lasting protection against rust, chips and UV rays.
