A smooth shell instead of a ridged one
The shell itself is uniformly rounded and smooth, maintaining the “ricochet” energy concept—an optimized shape that allows a larger part of the shell to be smoother above and beyond the test line (Snell standard), while also influencing the parts below this line. Here, the rounded chin bar maintains the same compact shell length as the previous model, the VX-Pro3 helmet. This results in less surface roughness, which makes it unlikely that debris will catch or penetrate the helmet during an accidental fall.

Shell material
To optimize performance, we precisely assemble the shell using several materials exclusive to our brand. Super Fiber, one of the primary materials, costs up to six times more than standard fiberglass, but it is 30% more resistant to breakage and much more resistant to penetration. The Pb-cLc (Peripheral Belted Complex Laminate Construction) process requires long and precise assembly of many different parts by master craftsmen.

Chin bar ventilation grille
Installed on the specially rounded chin bar, the stainless steel mesh grille is now mounted from the outside onto the ventilation cap and can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement following damage. The ventilation cap is also designed to break away from the chin bar in the event of an impact.

Rear duct
The center mount of the rear ventilation duct also functions as a goggle strap locator. The diffusers can be removed or replaced quickly and easily by removing a single screw on the center mount of the rear ventilation duct.

Improved peak
The peak is 14mm longer and 5mm wider than that of the previous model, offering it a better ability to deflect branches and other flying debris. To compensate for the increased lift, the ventilation ports on the improved peak are larger. The peak is made of a durable yet extremely flexible material, mounted with plastic screws and designed to break away upon impact, so as to avoid catching on obstacles, which could transfer impact energy into the helmet or cause excessive rotational force.

Emergency Release System
In the new emergency cheek pad release system, we have repositioned the release tab to make it more easily accessible to rescuers. Developed by Arai, the emergency cheek pad release concept was intended to provide qualified medical personnel easier access to an injured motorcyclist, reducing the possibility of unintentional injury.
