attelage-classe-1-volkswagen-passat
Class 1 trailer hitch, Volkswagen Passat

Whatever your definition of adventure — whether it’s climbing onto the back of a mountain bike, hunting from a tree stand or camping with your family in the middle of nowhere — CURT Class 1 hitches offer a lightweight towing receiver to help you get out there. Each one is designed to fit a specific vehicle, offering easier installation, a better fit and optimal towing capacity. Custom Class 1 trailer hitches are available for a variety of smaller vehicle types, including compact cars, crossovers, minivans and small SUVs. This Class 1 hitch is designed as a custom-fit hitch for certain model years of the Volkswagen Passat (to check vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). Tested in accordance with SAE J684, it offers a gross trailer weight capacity of 2,000 lb and a tongue weight capacity of 200 lb. It features a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or other hitch-mounted accessory. This Class 1 hitch also comes with all necessary mounting hardware. With its lightweight design and smaller receiver tube, a Class 1 hitch is especially useful for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier. They can also generally be used to tow small trailers such as a utility trailer, kayak trailer or teardrop camper (never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component, including the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc.). Although CURT Class 1 trailer hitches are intended only for light-duty towing, we apply the same quality principles as we do to the rest of our rear hitches. Each Class 1 hitch is manufactured using precision engineering, high-strength steel and precise welding. We use an A-coat co-cured finish inside and out, along with a durable black powder coat, to provide lasting protection against rust, chipping and UV rays.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0809/6301/0848/files/11054_3008x1990_a_93885965-ab63-4560-b6e6-5f049de2e3e9.jpg?v=1757533891
