Each one is designed to fit a specific vehicle, offering easier installation, a better fit and optimal towing capacity. Custom Class 1 trailer hitches are available for a variety of small vehicle types, including compact cars, hatchbacks, minivans and small SUVs. This Class 1 hitch is designed as a custom-fit hitch for select model years of the Volkswagen Beetle, Golf and Golf City (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). Tested in accordance with SAE J684, it offers a capacity of 2,000 lb GTW and 200 lbs TW. It features a 1-1\/4\" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or other hitch-mounted accessory. This Class 1 hitch also includes all necessary mounting hardware. With its lightweight design and smaller receiver tube, a Class 1 hitch is especially useful for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier. They can also generally be used to tow small trailers such as a utility trailer, kayak trailer or teardrop camper (never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e., the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc.). Although CURT Class 1 trailer hitches are intended only for light-duty towing, we apply the same quality principles as we do to the rest of our rear hitches. Each Class 1 hitch is manufactured with hands-on engineering, high-strength steel and precision welding. We use an A-coat co-cured finish, inside and out, along with a durable black powder coat to provide lasting protection against rust, chipping and UV rays.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"CURT","offers":[{"title":"Class 1 coupling, Volkswagen Beetle, Golf","offer_id":50696700592416,"sku":"11066","price":612.96,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0809\/6301\/0848\/files\/11066_3008x1990_a_ba3b2231-9ad6-4073-977c-8fa149f3a72a.jpg?v=1757533895","url":"https:\/\/en.recreashop.ca\/products\/attelage-classe-1-volkswagen-beetle-golf","provider":"Récréashop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
